Actress, singer, song writer, celebrity superstar, and media magnet are just a few of the titles thrown around when talking about teen queen Miley Cyrus. But to any tween, teen, or overly attentive 35 year old single man in America, she is known as Hannah Montana; the name of the character she plays on her hit Disney series Hannah Montana.

Career
Miley was first on-screen when she was just 9 years old. Her father Billy headlined Doc, a show considered super successful by Christian network standards, on the Pax network. Miley, then known to the world as Destiny, appeared as a girl named Kylie on guest episodes in 2001. Her next role was in the 2003 Tim Burton drama Big Fish in which she played the character "Young Ruthie". She was able to find work in music videos as well while auditioning for any role that came her way.
Disney Sensation
Disney desperately wanted another hit music based series to add to its afternoon line-up that would appeal to the tween and teen fans lost since the end of Lizziey McGuire.
