Personal Life
Heidi grew up in Crested Butte, Colorado with her parents, both restaurant owners. Once Heidi graduated high school, she decided to pursue her dream of attending fashion design school. It was when she moved to San Francisco that she'd meet the person who'd change her life forever.
Meeting Lauren
Heidi has said that when she walked into San Francisco Academy of Art freshman orientation, she felt alone until she spotted another blonde in the sea of goths. That blonde was Lauren Conrad. While they connected at first, the cameras freaked Heidi out some. But as time went on, she started to love the cameras that are her first love today.
Relationships
Heidi began dating Jordan Eubanks when she first moved to Los Angeles and The Hills began filming. She spoke at first of how serious the relationship was. But soon enough, she got tired of Jordan and kicked him to the curb. Despite claiming this was the smartest move she ever made, she cried her eyes out when she told him goodbye and the world was watching.
Next was the relationship that lasted the longest; that was with Spencer Pratt. Their relationship is on-again/off-again but the two got engaged in 2007. The engagement is on and off as well.
Career

When Heidi and Lauren decided to transfer to Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Los Angeles, MTV decided to use this as a chance to make a spin-off of Laguna Beach. The two got an apartment together and the cameras were rolling. The first season of The Hills was a success and Heidi went overnight into a recognized celebrity. When Heidi decided to pursue another career in her new dream of public relations, she began a job as an at Bolthouse Productions.
Heidi's role on the show changed as she began to date Spencer Pratt. Their relationship became the key point of the show as far as Heidi's role went and how her friends handled this new relationship. The media dubbed the two "Speidi". When the two moved into their own place, Heidi made sure to stay a part of the show and is still a part of season 4. The show also showcased Heidi's recent plastic surgery in which she had her breasts and nose done.
Music
Heidi began to record a CD in 2007. The first song and its single were as polarizing as Heidi's presence on MTV is; some people loved it while others hated it with a passion. Video footage of Heidi performing the song live with Spencer and Perez Hilton dancing behind her got more laughs than interest because she was visibly lip-syncing. Her first video, shot by Spencer, again was low-key but got attention.
Fashion
In order to try to dominate all of the entertainment media, she signed on as a spokesperson for Anchor Blue Clothing Company. Part of her deal with the company is she gets to design her own line of clothing, the dream of every fashion school dropout. The line, called Heidiwood, debuted in April 2008.
