Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are famous for their ever-growing brood of adopted and biological kids. Angelina started the trend and then when she partnered up with Brad Pitt, things got more complex. There is a total of 6 kids currently, but Angelina and Brad have vowed to have and adopt more, more, more.

The Jolie-Pitt brood is non-stop on the go, jumping timezones and continents on a whim. All the kids seem comfortable with it, and they should be considering many of them are international imports themselves.

Maddox Chivan Jolie-Pitt

To start with number one. Maddox Chivan Jolie-Pitt is currently holding the title of big brother and oldest child of the clan. Born August 5 2001 (2001-08-05) (age 8), Maddox spent the first 7 months of his life living in a local orphanage in Battambang, Cambodia, before Jolie swooped down and took him home on March 10, 2002. This little tyke has known two father figures in his short life, Billy Bob Thornton prior to Mom and Billy's divorce circa 2003, and now talk of the town Brad Pitt. Hence the change in surnames. Maddox is one stylish kid, sporting his trademark Mohawk in a wide variety of colors. Stylist.com calls Maddox "the most fashion-forward member of the growing brood. . . . " while Famecrawler is calling him "a fierce rebel". He's looking so fierce lately perhaps he should have mom give Beyonce a ring. Maddox's interests range from playing soccer, racing cars with good ole' papa and of course getting dragged along by mom to yet another Humanitarian or charity function.

Here is the first kink in the list. A choice needed to be made, go by the clans ages or the order they first appeared in Angelina and Brad's loving limelight. The chosen order was, in the order the adoption or natural birth took place and that's why Brad and Angie's first baby girl appears on our list. Let's here it for Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt.

Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt

Born in Ethiopia, Zahara's birth name is actually Tena Adam, named in the local language for a green spice used in Ethiopia to flavor coffee. Adopted from the Wide Horizons For Children orphanage in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on July 6, 2005 at 6 months of age, Zahara's mother is reported to have died three days after her birth. This[1] Yahoo article goes into great depth on the tragedy. The article also states that while Brad did accompany Jolie on the first visit to see the child, it was Maddox that sealed the deal by "blowing kisses at Zahara, as though he wanted her to be his sister". While there are a variety of sources claiming Zahara was a child of rape, or that Zahara's birth mother wants her back, other sources claim Mentwabe Dawit, died.

Landmark!

On January 19, 2006 a California Judge issued a statement stating that both Zahara and Maddox Jolie could be legally adopted by Brad Pitt and the children's surnames were changed to Jolie-Pitt.

The next child to grace the Jolie-Pitt doorstep is one the stork actually dropped off. Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt, was born on May 27 2007 (2007-05-27) (age 3) in Swakopmund, Namibia, by scheduled caesarean section in utmost secrecy. Shiloh pronounced SHY-low rocks a dual passport, a connection to her sister's birth place and a connection to a land she's not native to. She is also the first infant to have ever had a wax statue created in her likeness by Madame Tussauds New York. Her likeness was unveiled two months after her birth. Due to all the hype surrounding her birth, as both Pitt and Jolie's first biological child, and the fact that she was their child, hoping to stem off the surge of crazy "photo-journalists" Jolie chose to sell the first images of the child herself. Shiloh's first photos were sold for a record $4.1 million dollars to People and an additional $3.5 million to the British magazine Hello. All proceeds were donated to charity.

Brad and Angie then went back to the sure fire plan of adopting more kids, because lets be serious who wouldn't want their child adopted by the Jolie-Pitt's?

Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt

Born on November 29 2003 (2003-11-29) (age 6) and abandoned at birth Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt, was three when he was adopted on March 15, 2007 from Vietnam. Orignally born as Pham Quang Sang, Jolie later revealed the name Pax, was a suggestion from her mother, Marcheline Bertrand before her death. Adopted in Ho Chi Minh City, from the Tam Binh orphanage where he lived the first three years of his life, Pax cried the first time he met his future family, an occurrence the director states happened, "because they were strangers". What a way to begin a met and greet boy! As a five year old boy Pax enjoys outings with his father and brother Maddox and rebelling by peeing on time out chairs.

For a time the Jolie-Pitt’s were happy and at the moment not popping out any more children. Then it happened, at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival, following months of media hounding and speculation, Jolie confirmed the rumors, yes, she was expecting twins.

Knox Leon Jolie-Pitt and Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt were born one minute apart at the Lenval hospital in Nice, France on July 12 2008 (2008-07-12) (age 2). Apparently Angelina and Brad don’t want any of their children, even the biological to hold a birth certificate in a place as boring as the U.S.A. Both babies weighed in at around 5 pounds, with Knox edging out his sister to be the larger. The babes were born by yet another caesarean section and Doctor Michel Sussmann confirmed that both mother and father were doing well during the delivery. The doctor also stated that he believed baby Vivienne’s middle name to be in memory of Jolie’s mother. Go figure Doc! That man really graduated from med school?! The children once again made history having their photos sold off again by mom for a record $14 million, that was once again given to charity. The lovely twins also make jealous children around the world, claiming super rocker Bono as their god-parent. Lucky kids.
